Chris McCready is presently the PAT Program Manager for Umetrics, responsible for business development and commissioning of multivariate analysis and monitoring platforms for pharma and biotech manufacturing. He was lead systems engineer for UTC Power (UTC Fuel Cells) from 2000 to 2004. In this position he was responsible for design of fuel cell and alternative fuel power plants, development of fundamental models for performance optimization, simulation of system level power plant performance, and design of control systems and specification of system capabilities. He also managed the intellectual property portfolio for control systems. He was advanced control engineer for Petro-Canada from 1997 to 2000, where he was responsible for design and maintenance of advanced control systems, evaluation of innovative technologies, and implementation of PAT to improve process capability and increase efficiency. He graduated from the University of McMaster (MEng) in chemical engineering with a research focus in multivariate analysis, advanced control, and optimization. He also attended the Univeristy of Waterloo (BASc) where he received a degree in chemical engineering, with research focus in environmental engineering, and optimization and control.
