Cheng Tong

Charles Tong Ph.D. is a Senior Vice President at Suzhou Ribo Life Science Co. Ltd. based in China, responsible for RNAi based innovative drug development. Previously, he was a Senior Director at Technology & Innovation of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Worldwide Research & Development, Pfizer Inc., established and led the Pharmaceutical Sciences Development Center in China as well as served as the General Manger of R&D Center for Hisun Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd., with more than nineteen years of innovative and generic pharmaceutical development experience. Dr. Tong has been active in ISPE China since 2008, including establishing and leading the Regulatory and Compliance Committee, and serving as an elected board member and the Chair for ISPE China (2013-2014), during which he initiated and successfully led a major organizational restructure for ISPE China to better serve the industry and engage the regulatory agencies. He recently served as the Chair for ISPE Asia Pacific Affiliate Council (APAC) (2015). Dr. Tong is a qualified instructor for ISPE’s Quality by Design (QbD) and Process Validation courses.
