Charles Heffernan is a life sciences leader with over 20 years of biotechnology industry experience ranging across the full product lifecycle including research & development, facility & process design, capital projects, technology transfer, commissioning and qualification, new product introduction, technology management, and regulatory licensure & compliance. Charles helps clients deliver therapies to market and has led the design of processes and facilities for vaccines, mAbs, blood fractionation products, plasmids, viral vectors, cell therapies, gene therapies, and RNA based therapies. He currently focuses on new and emerging technologies and therapy types including new approaches to traditional manufacturing. Charles brings a unique perspective to projects as he has experience on both the owner and AEC firm side having worked for CRB, GSK, Merck, and Wyeth Ayerst.
Charles received his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and his Juris Doctorate from Temple University Law School.
When not bringing new therapies to market he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, photography, and visiting National Parks. – He currently resides in NC.
