Caroline Rocks is a Senior Process Engineer for AbbVie’s Global Engineering Programs. Having started her career with Jacobs in process and facility design from concept to construction, Caroline subsequently worked for Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb and Mylan’s Irish manufacturing facilities in the areas of technology transfer, commissioning, qualification and validation of small and large molecule API, OSD and fill finish projects. Caroline then moved into Mylan’s global engineering programs developing and delivering capital projects and manufacturing strategies in their global biosimilars portfolio working in India, Malaysia and Poland with technical and fiscal responsibilities and direct reporting to Corporate Management. Earlier this year, she moved to AbbVie’s global engineering organization.
As a Chartered Engineer with first class honors in both her Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and her Master’s degree in biopharmaceutical engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland, Caroline also lectures at University College Dublin School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering and the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT).
Caroline is an active ISPE volunteer and is the Current Chairperson of the International Young Professionals’ Committee (IYPC) As Chair of IYPC, Caroline currently sits on the International Board of Directors as an ex-officio member.
