Caroline Rocks is a Senior Principal Engineer for AbbVie’s Global Engineering Programs and is serving her first term on ISPE Board of Directors 2018-2020.
Having started her career in 2006 with Jacobs Engineering in process and facility design from concept to construction, Caroline subsequently worked for Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb and Mylan’s Irish manufacturing facilities in the areas of technology transfer, commissioning, qualification and validation of small and large molecule API, OSD and fill finish projects. Caroline then moved into Mylan’s Strategic Manufacturing Biologics organization developing and delivering capital projects and manufacturing strategies for their global biosimilars portfolio working in India, Malaysia and Poland. In 2018, Caroline moved to AbbVie’s global engineering organization.
As a Chartered Engineer with first class honors in both her Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and her Master’s degree in biopharmaceutical engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland, Caroline has been lecturing for over six years at University College Dublin School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering and previously for the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT).
