Brian Pochini is a Building and Clean Utilities Design Lead working in Sanofi Global Engineering. Brian has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering; a Master’s in Business Administration and is a Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional (CPIP). Brian has over 20 years’ practical experience within biotechnology, membrane manufacturing/development and custom chemical industries. Brian has a diverse background encompassing multiple engineering discipline functions including HVAC, Critical Utilities, Process Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls, and Facility Design. He has experience in all project phases, including conceptual engineering, basic engineering, detailed design, equipment procurement, construction, facility and equipment start-up, and commissioning and qualification activities. Additionally, his project management experience includes the simultaneous management of multiple capital projects and cross-functional team management. He is a current member of the ISPE Guidance Document Committee (GDC) and a former member of the ISPE FOYA Committee, the former secretary/co-chair for the ISPE Knowledge Network Council, a former member of the ISPE Commissioning & Qualification Steering Committee, a current member of the ISPE Critical Utilities Steering Committee. Brian has been a contributing author, chapter lead and guide lead for multiple ISPE guides across varying disciplines. Currently he is co-leading the revision of the ISPE Good Practice Guide: Sampling Pharma Water, Steam, & Process Gases and is a contributing author for anew ISPE guide regarding Sustainable Critical Utility Systems
