Global Head of Bio Process Technology Shift
Bernd Eichenmueller’s position at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health is the Global Head of Bioprocess Technology Shift. In this role, he has been overseeing the implementation of state-of–the-art vaccine manufacturing technology in BIAH’s global network for the last 18 months. Prior to that, he was the Vice President Operations for BIAH’s US subsidiary and managed facility operations for veterinary vaccines in Saint Joseph, Missouri and Fort Dodge, IA, pharmaceutical operations in Fort Dodge, IA as well as a network of toll manufacturing partners in the US. Bernd joined Boehringer Ingelheim 19 years ago and held several management positions with increasing responsibility in Process Development and Vaccine Production. He received his Ph.D. degree in Bioprocess Engineering from the Technical University Berlin, Germany, and completed a three-year post-doctoral assignment at the University of Kansas in the department of Molecular Biosciences. <br/>Bernd’s office is located in St. Joseph, MO, where he lives with his family.
