Anthony Valle

Anthony Valle is the Head of Process Engineering at Ultragenyx’s Gene Therapy Manufacturing Facility (GTMF) in Bedford, MA. The greenfield site was opened in 2023 and is operational for clinical and commercial manufacture of Gene Therapy Drug Substance and Aseptic Fill/Finish. With more than a decade of Engineering experience across Biologics and Gene Therapy, at companies like Merck, Takeda, and Ultragenyx, Anthony has honed his expertise as a capital project design engineer as well as ongoing site engineering support. Through this experience, and his critical role in the design, buildout, and startup of the GTMF, Anthony understands the importance of integrated project teams, and their influence on the success of a large scale design project from conceptual design through construction, qualification and site handover. Anthony is involved in International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) for 15 years and holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
