Overseeing engineering strategy and project execution across 31 manufacturing sites worldwide. With 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Amjad has held leadership roles in FDA-approved facilities spanning Packaging maintenance, validation, plant management, and project engineering.
Academically, Amjad holds a GMP (General Management Program) from Harvard Business School, an MBA from the European University of Barcelona, and an MSc in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
Throughout his career, Amjad has led the design and execution of all major injectable projects that enabled the global scale-up and expansion of Hikma’s injectables business. His portfolio includes complex projects across the EU, USA, and MENA regions, covering a wide range of technologies such as ampoules, vials, prefilled syringes, infusion bags, and multiple injectable forms including liquid, suspension, lyophilized, oncology, biosimilar, and powder products.
Amjad is widely respected within the industry and among his peers. He has served as EU Chair and Co-Chair of ISPE in 2022 and 2023, contributing significantly to industry standards and professional collaboration.
