Adam Sokolnicki is Director of the MSAT-Downstream group of Biomanufacturing Engineers at MilliporeSigma. His team assists biomanufacturers across North America in establishing robust, reliable, and reproducible downstream processes through hands-on application training, characterization and scaling studies, on-site support for facility startup, and the development of best practices utilizing MilliporeSigma technologies. Adam and his team are based in Burlington, MA at the M Lab™ Collaboration Center, one of ten such centers around the globe with a mission to solve biomanufacturers’ toughest challenges. Since joining MilliporeSigma as a Biomanufacturing Engineer in 2009, and as Adam’s scope of responsibility has grown beyond individual contributor, he has always valued close and collaborative relationships with clients to develop solutions addressing their critical needs. He has a passion for and expertise in bioprocess equipment and single-use technologies, as critical components in downstream manufacturing. Prior to joining MilliporeSigma, he spent his early career at the biotech startup Altus Pharmaceuticals conducting process development, process engineering, and technology transfer for clinical and commercial manufacturing of biologics. Adam has 20 years of industry experience in biopharmaceuticals and life science. He obtained a BS and a MS in chemical engineering from Tufts University in Medford, MA.
