Internationally recognized for his expertise in pharmaceutical processing, Mr.Joe Manfredi has spent more than 30 years designing systems, overseeing fabrication and installation, trouble shooting, training and providing consulting services for most of the world’s major pharmaceutical manufacturers.
In addition, Mr. Manfredi was instrumental in establishing the Pharmaceutical Engineering Masters of Science Program at New Jersey Institute of Technology. He developed and taught many of the “core” graduate program courses and served as Chair of their Pharmaceutical Engineering Advisory Committee.
A graduate of Newark College of Engineering (NCE), Mr. Manfredi’s experience includes all aspects of liquid processing with special emphasis on pharmaceutical water and steam systems, but also includes ointments, creams, syrups, pastes, and gels, as well as tablets, tablet coatings, and suppositories.
As a leading instructor of orbital welding technology for pharmaceutical applications, Mr. Manfredi also provides seminars in operator certification, orbital weld inspection, and equipment calibration and service.
A member of many professional and industrial associations including PDA, ISPE, AWS, ASSE and NJBIA, he is often asked to lecture and lead courses both domestically and internationally.
The recipient of numerous awards, Mr. Manfredi was also named ISPE Member of the Year in 1991 and NCE Distinguished Alumnus in 2004.
