Laks Pernenkil, PhD

Dr. Laks Pernenkil is a Principal and US Leader of Deloitte’s Life Sciences Product, Supply & Manufacturing Operations practice based in Washington DC. He has 20 years of consulting and technical operations experience in pharmaceutical, biologics and medical device sectors. At Deloitte, his experience includes manufacturing and plant floor operations, plant engineering, facilities management, material sourcing, distribution, performance improvement, operational excellence and market entry operations strategy. Laks holds dual degree (BS and MS) in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, a Masters and PhD in Chemical Engineering Practice (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing) from MIT and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. His prior experience includes Novartis, Alkermes and Amgen in various technical operations and operations strategy roles. He has published articles on Offshoring of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing on behalf of National Academy of Engineering.
