Justin Svec

Justin Svec is currently a Technical Director in the Parenteral Engineering Tech Center for Eli Lilly and Company. He consults on capital projects and technical transfers in all areas of parenteral technology, with a particular focus on aseptic filling technology. Mr. Svec holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He has over 22 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including 17 years of parenteral fill/finish engineering experience. Mr. Svec provides expertise to parenteral sites worldwide with a focus on process design, optimization, technical studies and DOE, root cause analysis, and complex troubleshooting. He has implemented several vial, cartridge, and syringe filling lines in existing facilities and greenfield sites, and in addition to internal manufacturing support, he also provides parenteral process and engineering support and oversight to third-party parenteral CMOs. Mr. Svec been a member of industry groups such as PDA and Biophorum, where he has contributed to guidance and points to consider documents.
