Dr. Ramaswamy has over 20 years of global leadership experience in process and product development, technology transfer, and site and operations management for clinical and commercial manufacturing of Biologics and Cell & Gene Therapies. He is currently Vice President of R&D and Innovation for the Cell & Gene Division at Lonza. In this role, Dr. Ramaswamy is driving the strategic direction and advancing innovative solutions for cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Over the past 14 years at Lonza, Dr. Ramaswamy has held roles of increasing responsibility across multiple geographies and businesses including interim Site Head for Lonza’s commercial cell and gene therapy manufacturing site in Houston, Director of Cell Therapy Operations in Walkersville, Maryland and Head of Biologics MSAT in Singapore. Before joining Lonza, Dr. Ramaswamy led product development at MilliporeSigma, where he served as a Consulting Engineer and Group Leader from 2006 to 2010. Senthil holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
