Head Chemical and Environmental Legislation
Michaela is the Head of Chemical and Environmental Legislation at Roche Pharma, bringing over 20 years of expertise in policy, regulatory affairs, and product stewardship. Michaela has held key leadership roles, including leading an environmental policy team at Roche Diagnostics, where she shaped the company's approach on sustainability and environmental policy.
Currently, Michaela heads a department focused on EHS data management, environmental policy, product sustainability, and regulatory implementation at Roche Pharma. Her knowledge and leadership extend beyond internal operations, as she has represented Roche externally at MedTech Europe as Vice-Chair of the Sustainability Committee. She now contributes to the pharmaceutical industry’s broader policy landscape by representing Roche Pharma at EFPIA's related Working Groups. Michaela also leads a TaskForce on PFAS for the Pharma Manufacturing Forum, which focuses on identification and mitigation of supply chain risks associated with these chemicals.
Michaela holds a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Innsbruck, Austria
