Nikki Imbergamo

Takeda Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Senior Global Sustainability Engineer
With over 15 years of experience in the design and construction field, I have worked as a technical design consultant and owner's project manager, specializing in sustainability projects. Starting as a mechanical engineer at a consulting MEP firm, I handled building system analysis, design, and project management for a wide range of projects, from small office renovations to large-scale new construction facilities. In 2016, I joined MIT as a sustainability project manager, overseeing sustainability rating systems, energy efficiency, GHG reduction measures, and the execution of capital project sustainability goals in both new and existing buildings. Through my diverse project experiences, I developed a passion for working with life science clients to minimize their environmental impact, considering their high demand for utility infrastructure, waste, and water. This passion has led me to my current role as a Senior Sustainability Global Engineer at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where I collaborate with and support our manufacturing plants worldwide to achieve scope 1 and 2 net zero emissions by 2035.
