Strategic Technology Partnership Leader
Peiqing Zhang is the Strategic Technology Partnership Leader at Cytiva for Genomic Medicine. As a member of the Chief Scientific Officer’s team, he leads technology management and collaboration programs in Asia.
Peiqing has more than 18 years of experience in biotech research, development, and commercial manufacturing. He earned his PhD from National University of Singapore (NUS) specializing in glycobiology and cell engineering. He then spearheaded a strategic initiative to build a glyco-analytics platform in Bioprocessing Technology Institute under Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), mentored by Professor Pauline Rudd. Moving to the biotech industry, Peiqing joined Novartis as the leader of Analytical Science &Technology (AS&T) and Manufacturing Science &Technology (MS&T) Process Science functions. Between 2018 to 2019, he was with Transcenta and as CMC Leader and Senior Director of Analytical Science.
Peiqing joined Cytiva in 2021. He is an active member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), and currently serves as the Vice President of ISPE Singapore Affiliate. His long-term aspiration is to break the technological barriers to advance genomic medicines utilizing his expertise and leadership.
