Bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to this role, Mike has a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Most of Mike’s employment was with a large global pharmaceutical company where he held leadership positions in engineering, operations, and project management across diverse global settings. Mike holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration, as well as a professional engineering license. His extensive experience includes leading large-scale capital projects in the United States, Puerto Rico, China, and Ireland. Having successfully led diverse teams in various settings, Mike demonstrates his ability to integrate into different cultures and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals. His extensive experience spans a variety of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, including dry product manufacturing, aseptic manufacturing, API manufacturing, and delivery device manufacturing. He has led engineering, operational, and large project organizations across these manufacturing areas. Prior to assuming the role of President and CEO, Mike served on both the ISPE International Board of Directors and the ISPE Foundation Board and has been a long standing ISPE member.
As I approach the six-month mark in my role as President and CEO of ISPE, I’ve been inspired by the energy and commitment of our global community. One of the most meaningful experiences so far was from a recent visit to Shanghai, China, for the 2025 ISPE China Conference hosted by the ISPE China Office—an event that marked the official restart of ISPE’s presence in China.
