ISPE-CASA - Young Professionals Committee

We, the Young Professionals Committee are, at the heart, a group of individuals that share the drive to continually grow with industry knowledge and professional network. This committee consists of individuals that are young in our careers yet recognize the value of being involved in a professional industry group.  Together, we brainstorm ways to engage young professionals in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical community.  Primarily, we do this is by creating a combination of social and educational events.  We strive to create events that are relevant to current industry trends as well as events that are just plain fun and engaging.  For example, think trivia night one month and a seminar on negotiating a promotion the next month.

The young professionals committee meets about once a month to discuss upcoming events and topics.  Members will research the feasibility of an event, plan, organize, and execute the event.  We also support some of the larger ISPE events, such as the ISPE CASA Annual Technology Conference, the Golf Tournament, and occasionally student chapter events.  Members of the Young Professionals Committee share responsibilities by working together to divide tasks according to members’ interests and current availability.  On any given month the young professional committee typically has an in-person meeting, event, and perhaps a conference call to check in on upcoming tasks.  We welcome anyone that would like to be engaged in projects, in the community, or in promoting change to come to a meeting and learn about us. Each individual can determine their level of involvement.  For any information on upcoming events, on joining the committee, or on volunteering contact the ISPE CASA office at youngprofessionals@ispecasa.org.
