Join ISPE DVC onsite at ResinTech Inc. in Camden, NJ, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, the first day of spring, for an educational and networking event focused on water purification and ion exchange technology. Designed for anyone who works with purified water or who wants to learn more about purified water, this event offers complimentary refreshments and lite bites followed by an informative session covering lab water purification fundamentals, troubleshooting techniques, and resin ion exchange specifications, earning 3 PDH credits.

The event includes a guided tour of the ResinTech Inc. facility, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their cutting-edge processes. Experts from ResinTech will share industry insights and best practices for optimizing water purification systems. Free onsite parking will be available for all attendees, and the event will conclude with light refreshments and networking opportunities.

  • 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Tours (12-15 per tour group) (optional)
  • 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm – Light Refreshments + About Resin Tech (start of main education event)

3.0 PDH (Professional Development Hour) credits will be offered upon completion of this event (Only issued to attendees who elect PDH credit option during registration process; no additional charge for PDH certificate).

Jon Bergman - "Water Purification Basics and Lab Water"
National Sales Manager - Lab & OEM
ResinTech Inc., Filteroworks Division

Jon Bergman serves as the National Sales Manager for the Lab & OEM products of the Filterworks Division as well as the territory sales representative for the Northeast and Midwest Regions. Jon has been with ResinTech for over 21 years supporting divisional sales as well as marketing and engineering efforts.

With an Industrial Engineering degree from Penn State University, his career started in the valve industry for steam applications. Pivoting from engineering, Jon served as a Product Manager for Spirax Sarco for their Pure Steam and Clean Steam products. Jon was fortunate to participate in the ISPE Baseline Guides for Pure Steam applications. His career expanded from Pure Steam to Purified Water as an Industrial Sales Engineer with Mar Cor Purification. He was responsible for designing central ultrapure systems for Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, and wastewater applications.

In his current role, he specializes in laboratory water and taking specialty cartridge inquires from concept to commercialization. He also enjoys leading technical seminars for local engineering companies, trade organizations, and end users.

Stephen Wheeler is the Senior Ion Exchange Technologist at ResinTech, Inc., a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of ion exchange resins and water treatment solutions headquartered in Camden, New Jersey. With over 16 years of experience in the water treatment industry, Stephen has been instrumental in advancing ResinTech’s technical and application support capabilities, particularly in the area of PFAS contaminant remediation.

In his current role, Stephen oversees the technical and applications support group at ResinTech, providing expert guidance on ion exchange technologies and their applications across various industries. He has played a pivotal role in the company's laboratory and R&D initiatives, contributing to the development of ResinTech’s proprietary PFAS modeling software. His work has significantly enhanced the effectiveness of ion exchange resins in removing emerging contaminants, aligning with the latest regulatory standards.

Stephen is a recognized thought leader in the field, frequently presenting at industry conferences on topics related to PFAS, ion exchange processes, and their impact on water quality. His expertise is underpinned by a degree in Environmental Resource Management from Pennsylvania State University. In addition to his professional endeavors, Stephen serves as an Environmental Commissioner for the Borough of Clayton, NJ, where he applies his extensive knowledge of environmental systems to local governance.
