The National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing (NCTM), a center within the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, is an interdisciplinary training and research center serving the biopharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing industries. NCTM develops and delivers customizable instructor-led, computer-based, and hands-on learning to expose trainees to various aspects of cell culture and molecular-/micro-biology, aseptic processes, upstream and downstream processing of biological materials including viruses, monoclonal antibodies and other recombinant proteins, as well as industrial bioanalytical methods.  The center has more than 15,000 square feet of dedicated instructional space with several million dollars’ worth of traditional stainless and single-use systems for upstream and downstream bioprocessing.  To ensure curriculum addresses this industry’s ever-changing needs, NCTM contracted with more than 80 subject matter experts from industry and academia to build its catalog of customizable training programs.
