Swiss German University Recaps a Busy Year
Written by Swiss German University Student Chapter Past President, Erico Himawan
The students from the Swiss German University Student Chapter had an excellent year in 2012. They arranged
a charity program in conjunction with PT Kuark International to reflect their dedication to health education
around their community. Over 100 students from third-fifth grades learned how to brush their teeth and the
proper way to wash their hands. Each presentation was followed by games and a quiz that included prizes.
Later in the year, the students arranged a seminar entitled, “Energy and Utility Assessment” in
cooperation with PT Donaldson, PT Invensys and PT Asia Perdana Indoraya. The day featured topics such as Data
Recording and Benefits, Energy Saving in Compressed Air Purification Systems and Safety Aspects of Dust
Collector in Pharmaceutical Industry. Fifty participants from thirty pharmaceutical companies attended.
Finally, the students created an outbound activity program to strengthen relationships and celebrate the
hard work of each member. During the event at Anyer Cottage Beach Resort in Anyer, Banten, the bond was
strengthened between cross-semester students and staff. New students were welcomed into the Student Chapter
family.
