The AstraZeneca Commercial Cell Therapy Facility in Rockville, Maryland, is a 105,000 square foot biomanufacturing site for autologous T-cell therapy and late-stage oncology trials. Designed for 100 percent operational uptime, it supports therapies for up to 4,000 patients annually without inventory stockpiling. The design team applied resiliency methodologies from nuclear power and Tier IV data centers, achieving a probability of total power loss of less than one event in 10,000 years, setting a new reliability benchmark.
