ISPE UK 2026 Emerging Leaders Awards
The ISPE UK Emerging Leaders Committee are excited to open the 2026 ISPE UK Emerging Leaders Awards for applications. We are now accepting submissions for the awards.
This is an incredible opportunity for students, apprentices, interns, recent graduates and young professionals in the UK pharmaceutical engineering and manufacturing sectors to gain wider recognition of their work and to expand their professional network.
We are pleased to announce that the 2026 Awards will be sponsored by Scitech Ekium.
The awards will be presented at the 2026 ISPE UK Annual Awards Dinner
Venue: Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, Bottle Bank, Gateshead, NE8 2AR, UK
Date: Thursday, 12 November 2026
Applicants can apply in one of 2 categories:
- Recent Graduate Emerging Leader
- Student Emerging Leader
The application window closes on 12 September 2026.
5 applicants will be short-listed for each category and the judging panel will decide together on the winner for each category from the short-listed candidates.

* - the Europe Hackathon is only eligible for students and recent grads. Recent grads at the hackathon must be within 5 years of university graduation to be classified as a 'recent graduate'. If the Industry winner does not qualify for the Hackathon, an alternative prize will be arranged.
^ - Only the applicant is eligible for the sponsorship of the travel and accommodation for the ISPE UK Annual Conference and Awards Dinner. In the event that the applicant is unable to attend, this sponsorship would not be available to any persons attending the event on the applicant's behalf.

Qualification Criteria:
- Applicant/Nominee does not need to be a member of the ISPE
- Applicant/Nominee must have a Nominator
- Nominator must be in a role more senior than the Nominee
- Nominator does not need to be an ISPE member
- All applicants for Industry category must be under 30 years of age (on the application deadline - 12 Sep 2026)
- All applicants for Student category must be under 25 years of age (on the application deadline - 12 Sep 2026)
- Applicants/Nominees for the Academia category must be an apprentice or in full-time education at a recognised institution in the UK.
- Applicants who graduate in summer 2026 are eligible to apply in the student category.
- Applicants/Nominees for the Industry category must be be working in the UK.
