EMERGING LEADERS
Step into the world of steam sterilization with a practical, beginner‑friendly session designed for early‑career professionals. In just a few hours, you’ll gain a clear theoretical background on how autoclaves work, why they’re critical in pharma and biotech, and the safety principles behind them.
The highlight of the session is a guided walkdown of a real autoclave, giving you the chance to see the equipment up close, ask questions, and connect theory with practice. No prior experience is required — this is the perfect opportunity to build confidence, expand your technical knowledge, and network with peers in the industry.
Christopher Basilides, Senior Technical Manager, Fedegari Asia, Philippines
Joined Fedegari in June 2024, bringing with him a strong pharmaceutical manufacturing background shaped by hands-on experience at Novartis Bio and GSK Vaccines. His experience covers pharma facilities from early startup and commissioning through qualification and sustained production operations.
Trained as a calibration specialist at his core, he has managed calibration programs, ensured measurement integrity, and maintained regulatory compliance across GMP environments. This foundation provides a rigorous, data-driven perspective on equipment performance and process control. At Fedegari, he applies this expertise to sterilization systems, with a strong emphasis on autoclave cycle development, detailed cycle run analysis and interpretation of process behaviour. His practical understanding of how sterilization cycles perform in real production settings underpins his training approach, enabling participants to better grasp not just what happens in an autoclave cycle, but why it happens and how to control it effectively.
