Tell us about your role at ISPE: What do you do each day?
As one of the Program Managers on the Conferences & Digital Engagements team, I am responsible for the management of ISPE’s Facilities of the Future Conference, Europe Annual Conference, and Annual Meeting & Expo. I work closely with our dedicated volunteers who serve on the Program Committees of these conferences as they develop the educational content for each event, and I collaborate with stakeholders from almost every ISPE team as we work together to plan and promote the conferences.
Each conference takes more than a year to plan, so I am always working on different stages of each conference. I may be working on a call for proposals for one conference on the same day that I am reviewing the livestream platform for another conference. Or I might be providing feedback to our Marketing and Communications team for materials for one event while being on-site at another.
What do you love about your job?
I love being part of an organization that truly functions as a team. The staff and volunteers at ISPE are incredibly supportive of each other, and this helps us achieve our common goals.
What do you like to do when you are not at work?
I have a background in theater, and the arts are still very important to me. I sit on the board of a local arts organization that supports arts education and youth access to live performances. I also enjoy reading, and I love to spend time outside gardening and hiking.
