What began as a commitment to support women in the pharmaceutical industry evolved into a deeper mission rooted in advocacy, mentorship, and the pursuit of inclusive excellence.
Women in Pharma is more than a program. It is a movement that has empowered individuals across geographies, disciplines, and career stages to connect, grow, and lead with purpose. From mentoring circles to global webinars, workshops, and seminars, each initiative has reinforced the power of community and the importance of creating space for diverse voices.
Mentor ISPE
Among the many milestones we have achieved, I am most proud of the launch and success of the Mentor ISPE Program. This initiative was designed to bridge generations—connecting students, Emerging Leaders, and seasoned professionals in a dynamic learning ecosystem. The overwhelming response worldwide affirmed that mentorship is not only a tool for career development, but also a catalyst for confidence, collaboration, and long-term impact. The program plays a vital role in pre-paring the workforce of the future—equipping individuals with the skills, insights, and support needed to thrive in an ever-evolving pharmaceutical landscape.
Connections and Resilience
Our ongoing engagement and collaboration with Women in Pharma leaders across the ISPE community have fostered a vibrant, cross-regional exchange of best practices, celebrated Affiliate and Chapter achievements, and cultivated meaningful conversations. These connections have strengthened our shared commitment to inclusivity and excellence, and inspired us to lead with purpose, intention, and impact.
Equally inspiring has been the resilience of our community during the pandemic. Women in Pharma flourished through virtual platforms, enabling cross-border collaboration and meaningful conversations. We saw firsthand how technology, when paired with intention and purpose, can foster genuine connection and drive progress.
Looking to the Future
My hopes for the future of Women in Pharma are grounded in three guiding principles: social impact, allyship, and holistic growth. I envision that we continue programs to champion equity and inclusivity while embracing intersectionality. I hope to see more initiatives that generate personal well-being with professional development, acknowledging that true leadership begins with self-awareness, empathy, and deep sense of purpose.
To the incoming Steering Committee, let us lead with curiosity and courage. Listen deeply to the needs of our community and be innovative in facing challenges. Progress often begins with a single question—and it is sustained by those willing to ask, adapt, and evolve. Stay grounded in the mission and vision that define Women in Pharma—integrity, inclusivity, and resilience—and remember that our work has the power to shape careers and lives.
With Deep Gratitude
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated community volunteers, resource speakers, and panelists who generously shared their expertise and experiences; Steering Committee members, whose collaboration has been invaluable; and my mentors and former Chairs of Women in Pharma.
