How long have you been a member with ISPE? What prompted you to get involved?
I have been active in local ISPE events for several years, and an official member for one year so far. As a Sourcing Manager for Site Operations Procurement and early career professional, my desire to join ISPE stemmed from my eagerness to build my network and learn from leaders in the industry. ISPE provides an invaluable platform to connect industry experts, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange at every level of the pharmaceutical sector. Recognizing this, I saw membership as a unique opportunity to deepen my understanding of the latest trends, technologies, and supplier offerings that can help shape our facility operations and capital projects. The opportunity to build strong business relationships across this diverse clientele supports strategic supplier management and helps drive successful outcomes for our site’s operational goals.

The engaging events provide opportunities to connect on a deeper level and meet new inspiring peers in the industry.
How has being an ISPE member enhanced your personal growth and development?
Membership in ISPE has substantially accelerated my personal and professional growth. Participation in annual conferences and chapter events has allowed me to engage directly with the latest innovations and challenges shaping the pharmaceutical industry while strengthening my connections with suppliers and industry peers. My involvement as an ISPE Student Committee Co-Lead and Board Member has further honed my leadership abilities, expanded my professional network, and provided valuable opportunities to draw on my experience as a recent graduate and master’s student, helping to inspire and connect with the next generation of industry leaders.
Are you involved with Women in Pharma? If so, talk a bit about your experience and why you think it’s important?
Yes! Participation in Women in Pharma events has enabled me to interact with inspiring female leaders, seek mentorship from those facing similar challenges, and witness firsthand the impact of empowering women in technical and leadership roles. Initiatives like Women in Pharma not only support career advancement but also enrich the industry by ensuring a diversity of perspectives and experiences.
You are the Co-Chair of the ISPE CBA Student Chapter. Can you talk about that and your latest accomplishments?
As Co-Chair of the ISPE Chesapeake Bay Area Student Chapter, I am committed to fostering strong local student engagement and cultivating meaningful opportunities that will equip the next generation of professionals for successful and impactful careers within our industry. As recent graduates ourselves, my Co-Lead Keira Mull and I are enthusiastic about leveraging our own experiences and the challenges we encountered when entering the industry to help bridge the gaps for current students. Our goal is to provide meaningful support and guidance, making the transition for emerging professionals smoother and more rewarding.
As our Student Committee continues to grow, we have concentrated our efforts on conducting outreach to local universities, emphasizing the value of ISPE membership and promoting the range of involvement opportunities available to students. Over the past few months, our efforts have resulted in doubling our chapter’s student membership, and we are eager to sustain this growth going forward. In the near future, we plan to launch local networking and mentorship events designed to connect students with experienced industry professionals. Through these initiatives, we are strengthening the region’s talent pipeline and building a supportive community where emerging professionals feel empowered and prepared to thrive.
