Sergi Roura is currently North America Facilities President at Grifols, where he is responsible for the Grifols North America facilities as well as the reorganization of the site functions in North Carolina, Los Angeles, Emeryville and San Diego. This includes overview of the facilities functions and new projects for the Plasma Operations, with two laboratories in Texas and 176 Donor Centers across the United States. Mr Roura started in the Pharmaceutical industry in 1994 working for Alpha Therapeutics Inc as a project engineer and has been in the industry since then. Prior roles included Managing Director of Grifols Engineering since its creation in 2000 to 2011, and site head of the Grifols Clayton, NC manufacturing plant since the adquisition from Talecris in 2011 to 2017. In these various roles, he has acquired a broad range of skills and experience across all facets of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

From 2008-2013, Mr. Roura served as President of the Probitas Foundation Board, a nonprofit organization created by Grifols to improve health care in vulnerable areas with particular attention to regions lacking resources. Mr. Roura has been an ISPE member since 1995. He led efforts for the creation of the ISPE Spain Affiliate and served as the Affiliate’s first President from 2006-2009. Mr. Roura speaks Spanish, Catalan, French and English. He is the inventor or co-inventor of six patents related to the Pharmaceutical process and holds a Master degree in Industrial Engineering from Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales of Barcelona and an Executive Development Program (PDD) from the IESE Business School.
