With over 20 years of industry experience, Rick is currently the Director of Manufacturing
Technology and Innovation at AstraZeneca. His role is focused on developing and
implementing AstraZeneca/ MedImmune's biologics manufacturing Science and Technology
strategy encompassing drug substance manufacture through drug delivery. In this role, he
connections the needs of AZ's new product pipeline and of manufacturing sites with potential

experience includes Director and Site Lead for Sartorius-Stedim Biotech as well as other
roles in manufacturing operations at companies including Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb,
GlaxoSmithKline, Merck & Co and Wyeth.
