A bona fide Pharmacist, an alumnus from the UP College of Pharmacy. She had taken her post graduate studies at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila for Masters in Government Management and candidate for Doctor of Public Management. She accumulated 31 solid years in government service. She rose from ranks where her vast experiences and performance in the field of GMP inspections, evaluation and testing and even enforcement of foods, drugs, cosmetics and devices were commendable. In that, she was given higher responsibilities in attending local and international meetings here and abroad as one of the Philippine delegates in ASEAN, APEC and WHO meetings.
Last 2018, she was reassigned from the PRSDD of CCRR to CDRR as the OIC of the Product Research Standards Development Division (PRSDD) of the Center for Drug Regulation and Research of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), to oversee the operations of the said division, she was tasked to manage the operations of PRSDD on policies and standard setting; post-marketing surveillance system in monitoring health products including pharmacovigilance system in coordination with the Regional Field offices of the FDA and the stakeholders.
More so, she was tasked to strategize and develop post market surveillance and pharmacovigilance programs, fact-finding activities or gathering and monitoring information on health product risks and actions, and procedures for inspections based on risk and/or other accepted systems.
In 2019, she was again reassigned to head the Licensing and Registration Division of the said Center to strategize the existing systems to finish up the backlogs of registration applications. With the support of ARTA and the management, she was able to assist in upgrading the e-LTO scheme version 2 of e-portal for drug stores to finally run this March 2020. She also strategize together with the LRD registration team to resort to regulatory reliance pathway to cope with the thousands of backlog of drug applications including OTC, vet and household remedy preparations, automatic renewal applications and variations.
