Kerstin Seemann, SVP, is Head of Global CMC Development which is part of Global Healthcare Operations (GHO).
She is in charge of end-to-end CMC development of the Healthcare portfolio from discovery stage until launch in major markets.
Beyond this, her team is also instrumental for quality control, stability testing and analytical lifecycle management of the established Biologics portfolio.
Kerstin is pharmacist and joined Merck in 2005 as lab head in Site Management Analytics. As part of the Serono integration she moved to Healthcare in 2007.
Since then, she held various positions with increasing responsibility in R&D Chemical & Pharmaceutical Development before she joined GHO in 2016 as Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology.
In 2017 she assumed the responsibility for CMC Development of Biologics. She is in her current role since 2023.
