Joshua D. Russell

Joshua Russell has been Principle Engineer for the life sciences business segment at Automated Systems of Tacoma (AST) since 2010. As Principle Engineer he provides technical guidance in developing custom automated solutions for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing applications, and supports ongoing research and development of new products for AST’s life sciences business segment. Prior to becoming Principal Engineer, he performed a variety of different roles within AST including Project Engineering and Project Management for a variety of custom equipment applications in the life science, carbon fiber, aerospace and personal care product industries. Prior to joining AST in 2003, he was a consulting engineer with Intermountain Consumer Professional Engineers (ICPE) in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Saint Martin’s University and is a member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
