Elyse Vlahos offers more than 15 years of professional experience as a lead process engineer within the pharmaceutical industry. Her current role is the Director of Process Engineering at Genesis AEC. Previous employment was with Jacobs Engineering where she began her career and advanced to Senior Process Engineer.
Elyse has been involved during various project phases in the design of retrofitted, brownfield and greenfield site projects. Her project experience includes cell and gene therapies, vaccines, monoclonal antibodies (MABs), creams and ointments, final formulations, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). Elyse is proficient in core process engineering deliverables and technical writing as well as effective communication with clients, other disciplines, and vendors. In-depth technical experience spans cleaning and processing flow paths, thorough design reviews, automation development support, troubleshooting, and employing integrated project delivery (IPD) approaches to meet stringent deadlines. Expertise spans single-use technology, biotechnology unit operations, and individualized cell therapy operations. This range of experience supports front end facility design concepts and operational strategies.
