Alvaro Brisolla is a Director of Operations at Johnson & Johnson, specifically for the TORAX Medical plant, where an implantable device to address acid reflux is manufactured. Over the past 17 years, he has held positions in Source, Plan, Make and Delivery, in roles that ranged from operational/tactical to strategic in nature. Alvaro has also held positions in both the Medical Device and the Consumer divisions of J&J in Latin America and North America. Alvaro presented best practices about manufacturing network strategy at the Supply Chain Council National Conference in 2012 and best practices about Production Planning Discrete Simulations at the APICS conference in 2017. His background is in Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis in material science, by UNESP-Brazil. He holds an MBA with emphasis in Supply Chain and Operations by BYU-Utah and is Lean/Six-Sigma Black Belt Certified.
