Meet the ISPE Staff: Logan Thomas

Tell us about your role at ISPE: What do you do each day?

As Website Manager, I oversee ispe.org, which is the digital front door for everything ISPE does. On any given day, that could mean publishing new content, troubleshooting a technical issue, reviewing site analytics to understand how members are finding and using our resources, or collaborating with our development partners on improvements to the user experience. I also work closely with teams across the organization to make sure the website supports their goals, whether that’s promoting an upcoming conference, launching a new training course, or making our Guidance Documents easier to find. A big part of my focus is on search engine optimization and site performance, making sure the right people can find us when they need us.

What do you love about your job?

I love that my work sits at the intersection of technology, communication, and collaboration. Every improvement our team makes to the site has the potential to connect a pharmaceutical professional with the knowledge they need to advance their career or improve a process. There’s something really satisfying about solving a problem that makes things easier for thousands of people, even if they never know it happened. I also love working with the different teams and seeing members in person at our Annual Meeting.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?

Outside of work, I’m usually spending time with my animals. I have a cockatoo and a 10-year-old pup that keeps me on my toes. I love going to concerts, playing with the latest tech, journaling, putting together puzzles, playing video games, and spending time with family.
