Geetanjali (Geetu) Abbi is a seasoned leader in Digital Quality Assurance with over 18 years of specialized experience in Computer System Validation (CSV) and Computer Systems (CS) Compliance. A graduate of DIT University in India with a degree in Information Technology, she began her career in software quality before transitioning into CS Validation, where she has since led numerous successful initiatives across Manufacturing, Quality Systems, R&D, IT, and Laboratory environments.
Currently serving as Head of Digital Quality Assurance at Alkermes, Geetu leads a global team dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality validated GxP computer systems. Her team partners cross-functionally across the organization to ensure compliance, efficiency, and forward-thinking solutions.
Geetu is deeply committed to continuous learning and champions creative, risk-based strategies to stay ahead of evolving industry trends. She is an active contributor to the life sciences community, serving on the GAMP Americas Steering Committee and leading the ISPE GAMP Boston Community of Practice (CoP) as Chair. She also co-authored ISPE’s Good Practice Guide on the Validation and Compliance of Computerized GCP Systems and Data.
