Attendees are required to have their conference badge to access all ISPE events and activities. Buses will depart from the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at 08:00 ET, returning around 13:00 ET.
During the tour, participants will see Manufacturing and Quality Control in action through our uniquely designed facility, which allows observation of the Manufacturing and Quality Control laboratories through glass. The tour will cover the technology and analytical methods used to genetically modify patient cells while ensuring the best possible Total Viable Cell Count (TVC) to support patient treatment. This facility reduces unplanned downtime to less than one incident in 10,000 years, meeting a risk standard historically unique to the nuclear power industry.
Other notable elements include an overview of the site and its achievement of becoming USGBC LEED Platinum Certified, as well as water and energy conservation initiatives at the site and across AstraZeneca. Participants will also learn how we achieved 100% uptime in a fully electrified, carbon-neutral facility.
