ISPE Belgium launches a New Special Interest Group on Visual Inspection

ISPE Belgium is pleased to announce the launch of a new Special Interest Group (SIG) dedicated to Visual Inspection (VI). Offical Kick-off Meeting is scheduled on September 24, 2026.

The meeting will begin with an informal networking lunch at 12:45, followed by the official meeting at 13:30. Remote participation will also be possible.

The meeting is expected to conclude no later than 14:45.

About SIG-VI

SIG-VI will serve as a knowledge-sharing platform for professionals involved in the visual inspection of parenteral products. Its aim is to help establish a common baseline for visual inspection practices across the global pharmaceutical industry.

As part of ISPE, an engineering-focused organization, the group will also explore the latest technological developments in Automated Visual Inspection.

With increasing regulatory attention on visual inspection and container-closure integrity testing—along with evolving expectations, including the new FDA guidance and the recent update to EU Annex 1—this is a timely opportunity for professionals in the field to exchange insights and reflect on current practices.

We warmly invite interested candidates to join the Kick-Off Meeting and/or SIG Steering Committee.
