Dear Fellow New England Chapter ISPE Members,
On behalf of the entire NE ISPE Board of Directors, our primary message to the membership is to welcome all current and potentially interested members to participate in ISPE. This is our collective industry society and has the distinction of being the world’s largest not-for-profit society serving the interests of our pharmaceutical industry. Our NE ISPE Board is dedicated to enhancing the overall benefits that ISPE membership can potentially deliver to any particular member, company or pharmaceutical industry segment.
The benefits of ISPE are varied, but are rooted in the premise that ISPE facilitates our individual and collective ability to successfully achieve our professional objectives. The positive attributes of ISPE membership are ultimately measured in how the educational information, the professional network of resources, and the technical information available offers each of us guidance to more successfully achieve our objectives. I truly believe that ISPE affords us the tools to do our jobs better and to personally develop into more valued contributors to our profession.
The tools offered by ISPE are all the more valued if the local chapters can facilitate greater participation by membership; therefore providing meaningful programs and garnering greater membership participation in ISPE is a primary aspiration of our NE ISPE Board of Directors.
The NE ISPE Board of Directors has conducted our annual strategic planning, and is energized to deliver several events, the premier of which will be the annual BioPharma 2011 on May 5 and Golf Tournament on July 12, 2011. We have several more in the planning stages to keep our embers active in the year ahead.
The NE ISPE Board of Directors has expanded with a few key new members: Darren Wolter, Pfizer; Kyle Spontak, Rhodes Technologies; and Mike Cronin, Alexion Pharmaceuticals. They, along with the balance of our board, stand ready to listen and serve your interests. We are always looking for fresh ideas from our membership. Should you have any insight into possible educational, social, or networking events the Chapter could host, please feel free to email me (kchronley@hartcompanies.com) or the Chapter office (neispe@ispe.org). We would also welcome your input on any of our committees to volunteer with existing New England Chapter events.
Have a Brighter Future Ahead and consider ISPE participation as a key aspect to fulfilling your objectives.
Kevin M. Chronley
