Indonesia Affiliate New Student Chapter
14–15 September 2013
A new Student Chapter namely DIY-Jateng SC has been formed on April 2013. SC DIY-Jateng consists of students from different universities in Yogyakarta and Central Java Province.
The Faculty of Pharmacy from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) is the coordinator of the new student chapter. As of August 2013, the student membership has reached a size of 169, with 35 members from UGM (Yogyakarta), 25 members from UII (Yogyakarta) and 8 from UMS (Surakarta).
On 14–15 September 2013, the Student Chapter held their first Members’ Gathering at Gadjah Mada university. During the gathering, there was a knowledge sharing session and discussion on pharmaceutical profession. Games and fun activities were also conducted to build teamwork among the members.

Indonesia Affiliate Annual Conference
21–22 May 2013
Themed Pharmaceutical Quality System across Product Lifecycle considering Quality Risk Management, the Indonesia Affiliate Annual Conference was held in Jakarta from 21–22 May 2013.
The conference was opened by the Head of National Agency of Drug and Food Control of Indonesia who delivered her keynote speech stressing the importance of manufacturing high quality drug products that takes into consideration the efficacy and safety for patients. PQS and QRM are tools for accessing all operations and risk in developing and manufacturing drug products to ensure the safety and efficacy.
The invited speakers for the conference comprises of local speakers as well as global experts from Singapore, Malaysia and United Kingdom.
Key topics discussed during the conference include Introduction of Quality by Design in Product Development, Quality System and Risk Management in Product Transfer, Continuous Manufacturing, Distribution to Product Discontinuation. The sessions were well received by the participants.

ISPE Indonesia Affiliate Annual Conference 2010

The ISPE Indonesia Affiliate Annual Conference held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 10-11 May repeated its success of previous years with an attendance of over 200 participants including industry professionals, suppliers, consultants, academia, regulators and invitees from the sponsors.
The 2010 annual conference focused on Oral Solid Dosage Forms with sessions presented in two tracks.
The conference was opened by Herny Prasetya, ISPE Indonesia Affiliate Chair who introduced ISPE and the benefits of ISPE membership. Participants learned about the ISPE Web site and the knowledge resources available, how to become an ISPE member, the ISPE global calendar and, more importantly, Communities of Practice.
Dra Kustantinah, Msc. Apt., Head of National Agency for Drug and Food Control of Indonesia, addressed the conference during the plenary session and presented the road map to Pharmaceutical Regulatory in Indonesia.
The first track of the conference discussed development, formulation, and manufacturing of pharmaceutical oral solid dosage forms. Various topics were presented by six industry professionals, both local and global.
The second track – Facility for Manufacturing of Oral Solid Dosage forms was delivered by Gordon Farquharson.
