Alf Penfold graduated from The University of Southampton in the UK as a Mechanical Engineer. He later completed an MBA with the Open University. Alf began his career with SmithKline Beecham (GSK) in the UK where he spent 9 years gaining experience in all aspects of Engineering Operations and Project Management. He then joined Cardinal Health (Catalent) in the UK and later relocated to the US in 2001 to project manage a new Global Research and Development Facility in Somerset, NJ. In 2004, he joined the Global Engineering group at Pfizer and has performed many different roles including the Engineering Lead for all manufacturing operations in the US and Canada. Alf has performed similar Engineering Lead roles in Latin America, Europe & Asia. Alf was on the Steering Team of the new ISPE Project Management Guide, a former Chair of the ISPE Project Management COP and a regular speaker on Project Management at ISPE events in Europe and the US. Alf relocated back to the UK in 2010 with Pfizer. He went on to lead a European IFM Program and later became responsible for all Serialization deployments within the Pfizer network. He is currently working for PM Group in the UK.
