Christopher J. Milano is Director of Quality for all sterile filling and packaging operations at the Merck, Sharpe & Dohme, West Point, Pennsylvania plant site. In this capacity, Chris is responsible for release of more than 150 MM doses of vaccines worldwide as well as the oversight of the GMP Compliance of the facilities. Prior to this position, Chris was responsible for the transformation of the site's Deviation and Complaint Management systems. He led the development of a compliant, risk based system, which has led directly to the reduction of more than 50% of the deviations and complaints over a 3 year period. He has held various positions within Quality Operations over his 20+ years at Merck (Laboratory, Quality Assurance, and CMC). He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from Rutgers University, a Masters in Industrial Pharmacy from St John's University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Villanova University.
