In today's cost conscious environment, applying rigorous Value Management (VM) tools is critical in today’s competitive capital environment. The speakers will weigh in on VM from the perspective of both their experience and their expectations. They will discuss such areas as: risk, rewards, challenges, preferred timing, realistic cost impacts, program and project driver impacts, and its future role in the industry. The workshops will be organized primarily around audience interaction with the presenters.
Session Description
These highly interactive sessions will focus on planning, designing and constructing a biopharmaceutical facility and applying rigorous Value Management (VM) tools to reflect the realities of today’s cost conscious capital environment. The group will participate in a detailed VM of their project design and lessons learned using best practices from actual projects in the region which will be brought into the VM component.
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Appraise how decisions are made by various stakeholders and in some cases, overturned in capital project execution
- Actively participate in the decision making process associated with Value Management
- Gain a better understanding of the overall design and implementation process for a laboratory facility
- Share knowledge and lessons learned on effective/ineffective Value Management decision making
- Understand the perspectives of senior industry executives regarding Value Management
